Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Bilingual Elementary Teacher (Spanish) to join our team on a through the end of the next school year
The ideal candidate will provide instruction in both English and Spanish, support multilingual learners, and create a positive, engaging classroom environment that promotes academic and social-emotional growth.
Responsibilities
Teach Spanish to K-8
Develop lesson plans aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards
Support English Language Learners (ELLs) through bilingual instruction
Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Prepare instructional materials and assign classwork/homework
Assess, grade, and provide feedback on student work
Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration
Communicate with families regarding student performance
Document and report behavioral or academic concerns
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Valid NJ DOE Instructional Certificate (Elementary K–8 or appropriate subject area)
Valid NJ DOE Bilingual/Bicultural Endorsement (Spanish)
Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
Previous K–8 teaching experience preferred
Strong knowledge of classroom management and instructional best practices
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Important Certification Requirement
Candidates must hold BOTH:
A valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Elementary School K–8 or equivalent)
AND a Bilingual Endorsement in Spanish
Candidates with only a bilingual endorsement (no base certificate) will not be considered.
