Position: Bilingual Family Liaison (12 month position)

Location: Crary Administration Building - travel to buildings as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English, spoken and written
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with the educational system and procedures
  • Knowledge of local resources and services for families or strong commitment to learn Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with District ELD (English Language Development) Consultant and staff to enhance ELD programming for students and families
  • Serve as the primary contact for bilingual families during enrollment, providing translation and interpretation as needed
  • Facilitate effective communication between families and school staff
  • Assist families in navigating the school system, accessing resources, and understanding school policies and procedures
  • Organize and conduct outreach activities, workshops, and meetings in collaboration with the ELD department and district leaders to engage families
  • Partner with community organizations to connect families with external resources and services

Reports To: Assistant Superintendent of Pre K - 5

Workday/Week: Monday - Friday 32 hours per week

Starting Date: ASAP

Compensation: $18.41 per hour
