Primary Purpose
This full-time, 9-month position integrates adult education instruction, academic advising, and student success services for Spanish-speaking adult learners in Adult Basic Skills (ABS) and the High School Equivalency Program (HEP). The position balances classroom instruction with individualized student support to improve persistence and GED completion by guiding students from enrollment through GED completion and successful transition into college, workforce training, or employment.

Ergonomic Requirements
Teaching assignments can be taught in day or evening. Classes taught either online or on any of the COCC campuses. Office hours are generally scheduled around class times.
Incumbent must be able to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature. Requires the ability to work at a workstation for extended periods. Requires to write, read written materials and computer screens, and ability to use telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
