Human Resources Business Partner-Employee Relations Focused 

 

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support a large-scale manufacturing operation in Swedesboro, NJ. This role will serve as the site's Employee Relations leader while partnering closely with operations leadership to drive effective people strategies, strengthen employee engagement, and ensure consistent, compliant HR practices within a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong employee relations experience, the ability to coach leaders at all levels, and a proven background supporting hourly workforces within a manufacturing, production, distribution, or similar operational setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to operations leaders, aligning workforce initiatives with business goals and production objectives.
  • Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations best practices, performance management, documentation, and effective leadership techniques.
  • Develop and maintain consistent employee relations processes, procedures, and tools to support a fair and compliant workplace.
  • Oversee attendance management, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary processes while ensuring appropriate documentation and consistency.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on performance management, guiding leaders through goal setting, coaching conversations, and employee development.
  • Analyze HR metrics and employee relations trends to identify opportunities for improvement, reduce risk, and enhance overall workforce effectiveness.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support employee engagement, retention, and organizational initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources and/or Employee Relations experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing complex employee relations investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, employee relations practices, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and build strong relationships with leaders at all levels.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, distribution, or high-volume operational environment strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
