Job Overview

In this role, you will be a "Road Warrior" for our partners across Florida (from Miami up through Orlando and Tampa). You aren't just a mechanic; you are a critical problem-solver responding directly to unscheduled breakdowns and emergency calls to ensure minimal downtime for heavy equipment, backhoes, construction machinery, and marine operations.
Key Duties
- Emergency On-Site Troubleshooting: Respond immediately to unscheduled breakdowns on-site, diagnosing and resolving complex hydraulic failures under pressure.
- Custom Hose Fabrication: Troubleshoot, remove, and fabricate custom hydraulic hoses right on the job site using dedicated service vehicle equipment.
- Heavy Equipment & Backhoe Repair: Perform field repairs on backhoes, excavators, lifts, and other industrial fluid power systems.
- Complex Diagnostics: Use PLCs, schematics, and electrical diagnostic tools (ammeters, multimeters) to troubleshoot low and high-voltage systems.
- Bilingual Communication: Effectively coordinate between English and Spanish-speaking construction, shop, and field teams to ensure results are Result-Oriented and safe.
- Safety & Equipment: Operate scissor lifts and strictly maintain Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety standards on active, unpredictable job sites.
Requirements
- Bilingual: Professional fluency in English and Spanish is required.
- Field Troubleshooting Background: Proven experience managing unscheduled field breakdowns and working directly out of a service truck.
- Hydraulic & Hose Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with high-pressure hydraulic hoses, fittings, crimpers, and heavy machinery like backhoes and excavators.
- Florida Mobility: Must be open to frequent regional travel and rotating on-call schedules for emergency responses.
- Military/Trade Experience: We highly value backgrounds in military technical service, heavy equipment mechanics, or industrial/maritime maintenance.
- Clean Record: Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) to safely operate the CORE corporate service vehicle.
