Inside Sales Specialist
Location: Nashville, TN
Compensation: OTE $120K - $130K (Base plus Commission)
About the Opportunity
Our client, a major player within the Construction and Industrial Supply industry, is looking for a driven, organized, and relationship-focused Inside Sales professional to become a key part of their growing team.
This is not a traditional order-entry style Inside Sales role.
This opportunity is designed for somebody who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys being deeply involved in high-level projects and customer relationships, and understands how to create value through responsiveness, urgency, and teamwork. The right individual will operate as a true partner to the Outside Sales team, helping drive strategy, maintain major accounts, identify opportunities, and ensure customers receive an elite level of service.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner closely with Outside Sales Representatives to support key accounts, strengthen customer relationships, and help drive continued business growth
- Serve as a critical internal resource for pricing strategy, quoting, order management, and account coordination
- Prepare accurate and competitive customer quotations while balancing profitability and customer expectations
- Utilize ERP and sales systems to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and stay ahead of customer needs
- Manage open orders, backorders, purchasing coordination, and shipment timelines to ensure customers receive exceptional service
- Communicate proactively with customers, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects moving efficiently
- Assist in resolving customer concerns quickly and professionally while maintaining long-term relationships
- Stay current on product knowledge, market trends, and competitive activity within the industry
- Support revenue generation initiatives and contribute to overall sales growth objectives
- Operate with urgency, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset in a high-volume environment
What Our Client Is Looking For
- 2+ years of Inside Sales, Sales Support, Account Management, or Customer Support experience within construction, industrial, building materials, distribution, or related industries
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Confidence working with ERP systems, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and sales technology
- Ability to think critically, solve problems, and adapt quickly
- Self-motivated professional with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
- Bilingual Spanish is considered a strong asset
