Bilingual IT Operation Manager

Role: Bilingual IT Operation Manager

Location: 3040 Post Oak Boulevard, Houston, TX (onsite, locals)

Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate: $70 W2

Job Description:

• On-site Bi-Lingual (English/ Japanese) IT Operation Manager who needs to communicate with their IT staff in US and Japan and manage their IT operation who could be a backup of their IT expatriates manager from Japan.

IT Skills:

• Basic proficiency in M365 (including Office applications), networking (LAN/WAN/remote access), and hardware devices (PCs, multifunction printers, etc.)
• Understanding of corporate systems (accounting, HR, etc.) and major cloud services
• Ability to strictly adhere to IT security policies and ensure compliance
• Capability to handle initial responses to incidents (performing basic troubleshooting to isolate issues with infrastructure, applications, etc.) and execute appropriate escalation procedures (experience in IT management/operations is a plus)

Business / Person Skills:

• Act as a liaison between the headquarters IT department and local users (understanding headquarters policies and driving their local implementation and adoption)- Proactively manage the local IT environment (especially the office environment) to ensure stable operations (accurately managing IT assets, contracts, and configuration data)
• Effectively manage local vendors to ensure service quality
• Understand linguistic and cultural differences and facilitate smooth communication
• Take initiative rather than waiting for instructions; identify local issues from the user''s perspective, lead the resolution process, and propose improvements.
