Position Overview


Our client is seeking a Learning & Development Designer to lead the creation, organization, and delivery of training programs and learning content across the organization.

This individual will play a key role in developing the company's learning infrastructure, ensuring employees have access to clear, engaging, and effective training resources that support performance, safety, compliance, and career growth.

The ideal candidate combines instructional design expertise with strong communication skills and a passion for building learning experiences that simplify complex information and drive employee engagement.

Education & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development, or related field preferred
  • Professional certifications in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, eLearning, or related disciplines are a plus
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Training, or Knowledge Management
  • Experience creating training programs for operational, technical, manufacturing, construction, logistics, or industrial environments preferred
  • Experience implementing or managing a Learning Management System (LMS) strongly preferred
  • Experience developing eLearning content, SOPs, training guides, and multimedia learning resources
  • Video production and editing experience is a plus

Essential Responsibilities

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration

  • Assist with the implementation, organization, and ongoing management of the company's learning platform
  • Maintain course libraries, user permissions, training records, and system reporting
  • Support user adoption and troubleshoot platform-related issues
  • Continuously improve the learning experience and accessibility of training resources

Training Content Development

  • Design and develop engaging learning materials, eLearning courses, training guides, SOPs, job aids, and videos
  • Create training programs that support onboarding, safety initiatives, operational processes, and professional development
  • Translate technical and operational information into clear, user-friendly content
  • Ensure all materials remain current, accurate, and aligned with business objectives

Knowledge Management & Documentation

  • Establish consistent standards for training documentation and content organization
  • Maintain centralized learning resources and operational knowledge libraries
  • Partner with subject matter experts to capture and document best practices
  • Regularly review and update training materials to reflect process improvements

Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Conduct instructor-led training sessions, workshops, and employee development programs
  • Facilitate both virtual and in-person learning experiences
  • Provide coaching and support to learners during training programs
  • Measure participant engagement and knowledge retention

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Human Resources, Operations, Safety, and leadership teams to identify training needs
  • Support new initiatives, policy rollouts, and organizational change efforts through learning solutions
  • Coordinate training schedules and communication plans across departments

Learning Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track training participation, completion rates, and learning outcomes
  • Gather employee feedback and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Develop recommendations for improving training delivery and employee performance
  • Analyze learning data to identify opportunities for increased engagement and operational excellence

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in field-based, operational, or construction-related environments
  • Familiarity with eLearning development tools and learning technologies
  • Strong video creation and editing capabilities
  • Experience building training programs from the ground up
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
