Bilingual Maintenance Technician

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Pay: $28 - $30/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Training:

• Candidate can expect to have 1 month of training on 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:45 PM) before moving to 2nd Shift.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Bilingual Maintenance/Electrical Technician in the sheet metal industry who can work as a team player in a fast-paced production environment.

One of the most important requirements for this role is a strong industrial electrical background, particularly experience working with high-voltage equipment and 480-volt, three-phase electrical systems.

Essential Job Functions

• Completes work orders, records, and logs written or tablet-based documents according to established procedures on a timely manner.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment for the production of industrial exhaust systems, including pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electrical equipment, damaged racks, plumbing, etc., according to safety and quality procedures.
• Ensures that systems are grounded and installs outlets, lighting fixtures, and switches.
• Performs preventative measures such as bending conduit, replacing old wiring, and installing new drops for future equipment.
• Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other power equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on material handling equipment, including forklift, order picker, and scissor lift.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings, including blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Installs, services, and repairs wiring, conduits, fixtures, and other electrical devices and systems in an industrial setting.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, control, and networking issues.
• Works well with other associates.

Requirements & Skills

• MUST be bilingual (English/Spanish)
• 2–4 years of related experience in mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, and electrical installation.
• Strong industrial electrical background, particularly experience working with high-voltage equipment and 480-volt, three-phase electrical systems.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and mathematical skills.
• Skills in welding, milling machine, hand and power tools, and electrical motors.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Dedication to promoting a strong culture of safety.
• Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes as required.
• Must be willing to submit to a drug screen (THC included) and criminal background search to ensure all company requirements are met.
