Bilingual Medical Assistant

Express Healthcare is assisting a family practice clinic serving the Highwood community. We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant with phlebotomy experience to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong clinical and administrative capabilities.

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time

Hours:

Monday 11-630pm
Wednesday 9-430 pm
Friday 11-6:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Conduct patient interviews (history, meds, allergies), perform injections, nebulizer treatments, visual acuity tests, and TB testing.
• Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws, verify requisitions, and prepare puncture sites. (Must have phlebotomy skills).
• Clinic Flow: Prepare and stock exam rooms; coordinate patient referrals.
• Administrative: Assist with triage, answer phones, take accurate messages, and ensure patient charts/records remain confidential and up to date.
• Collaboration: Work under the supervision of the Medical Director to implement patient treatment plans.

Requirements

General:

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or nursing program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Must pass drug screening, background check, and provide 2 professional references.
• One year of ambulatory care experience (Preferred).

Role-Specific:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
• English/Spanish Verbal and Written

• Physical: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; frequent sitting, standing, and bending.
