Location: Montrose Area, Houston, TX
Salary: paying up to $65K

The firm is seeking a
bilingual professional with Personal Injury experience who is well-versed in medical record retrieval and can also assist the legal team with closing out cases. The ideal candidate is professional, proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced Personal Injury practice.
Key Responsibilities
Handle the full medical record retrieval process for Personal Injury cases.
Request medical records, itemized bills, and related documentation from hospitals, physicians, clinics, imaging centers, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers.
Prepare and submit HIPAA authorizations and other documentation required to obtain client medical records.
Consistently follow up with medical providers and records custodians regarding outstanding requests.
Track all medical record and billing requests to ensure records are received accurately and within appropriate timelines.
Review incoming medical records and bills for completeness and identify missing records, dates of service, bills, or other necessary documentation.
Organize, scan, upload, and maintain medical records and related documentation within client case files.
Assist attorneys and paralegals with closing out Personal Injury cases once matters have been resolved or settled.
Gather, organize, and verify final case documentation needed for the case-closing process.
Assist with identifying and obtaining outstanding medical bills, records, liens, and other documentation needed before a file can be closed.
Help ensure case files are complete, accurate, organized, and ready for final closure.
Assist with obtaining affidavits, certified records, and other supporting medical documentation as needed.
Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, attorneys, and internal team members regarding records and case documentation.
Provide bilingual Spanish/English communication assistance with clients and providers as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive client, legal, and medical information.
Provide additional case-related administrative support to attorneys and paralegals as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience working in a Personal Injury law firm strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with medical record retrieval and medical billing requests.
Experience assisting with closing out Personal Injury cases highly preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Familiarity with the general lifecycle of a Personal Injury case.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to effectively track a high volume of medical record requests, follow-ups, and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Professional, dependable, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
