Talis Group’s client, a busy Personal Injury Clinic located in Louisville, is seeking to hire a Bilingual Office Assistant (English & Spanish) to join their growing team. This position is ideal for a professional, customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment & enjoys working directly with patients. Fluency in both English & Spanish is required, as this role will regularly communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and their families.
This position will play a key role in supporting daily clinic operations, providing exceptional patient service, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring office workflow. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to multitask effectively, and comfortable prioritizing competing responsibilities throughout the day.
The hours are Monday-Friday, 11am-7pm; schedule may vary slightly due to patient needs.
Hourly pay range is $18-$20/hour, with the potential for hourly wage increase following successful completion of training. While this position does not offer benefits or paid time off, the clinic is closed for all major holidays.
Highlighted Duties
- Greet patients and visitors while providing exceptional customer service in both English and Spanish.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate clinic calendars.
- Assist with patient intake and appointment confirmations.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations.
- Maintain and update patient medical records.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate communication with patients, referral sources, vendors, and other outside contacts.
- Perform data entry and administrative support utilizing Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Maintain office organization and support efficient daily operations.
- Prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment.

- Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written communication) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of medical office experience.
- Experience working directly with patients in a customer-facing healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical records management, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel for data entry and record maintenance.
