Join a growing, collaborative behavioral health team focused on delivering high-quality, hands-on therapeutic care. As a licensed Outpatient Clinician II, your primary focus will be providing direct clinical services, utilizing evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support a dedicated caseload of up to 30 clients. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required for this role, as you will serve as a vital resource for our diverse community and Spanish-speaking families.
This position features a prime afternoon and early evening schedule specifically designed to align with the schedules of school-aged children, adolescents, and working families who require care outside of traditional school and business hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct Clinical Practice & Evidence-Based Care
Provide short-term, evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families, with a strong emphasis on cognitive-based interventions.
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate client needs, interpret psychiatric/behavioral health conditions, formulate proper DSM-5 diagnoses, and prescribe individualized courses of treatment.
Create targeted individual service plans and dynamically modify treatment approaches utilizing assessment data from standardized instruments.
Promote intentional family engagement and participation, utilizing evidence-based modalities to inform family therapy interventions.
Develop specialized clinical programs or therapeutic groups that are directly relevant to the needs of the population served.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration & Community Outreach
Actively participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to ensure cohesive client care.
Collaborate closely with members of the psychiatric team (MDs/APRNs) and fellow clinicians to deliver superior, integrated care.
Serve as a reliable source of bilingual information regarding community resources to families.
Partner with all relevant external community providers, agencies, and schools to support seamless assessment, treatment, service planning, and discharge.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate levels of care for each client, diligently linking individuals to services outside of the agency when clinically indicated.
Compliance, Quality Assurance, & Operations
Maintain precise, timely case documentation according to the State of New Jersey, Medicaid, and our client's Outpatient Standards.
Enter comprehensive clinical notes and collateral information into the company’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system on the same day care is provided.
Submit accurate daily billing for services within the EMR in accordance with established performance targets.
Responsible for performing routine chart audits and strictly adhering to our clients and State of NJ’s chart management protocols.
Meet or exceed the company’s established performance and productivity targets while ensuring sessions start and end as scheduled to the best of one's ability.
Assist Team Leads with minor administrative tasks, clinical in-service coordination, or light task supervision/mentoring of interns and non-clinically licensed Master's level clinicians as required.
Requirements
Language Skills:Native or professional fluency in both Spanish and English is strictly required. Must be completely comfortable conducting complex clinical assessments and therapy sessions in both languages.
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Must possess an active, valid, and unencumbered New Jersey State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Clinical Experience: Proven, post-graduate clinical experience managing diverse populations with psychiatric and behavioral health issues, with a strong background or training in cognitive-based therapies.
Case Management & Availability: Demonstrated ability to independently manage an outpatient caseload of up to 30 clients effectively, with the flexibility to work early evening hours to accommodate school-aged clients.
Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Medicaid documentation compliance and EMR workflows is highly preferred.
