Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $30, with an additional bilingual stipend for qualified candidates. Our benefits package includes a monthly cell phone stipend, retirement contributions, and other supports designed to honor your service and sustain your wellbeing.


Location and Commitments

This position is based in Monterey, CA, serving the Central Coast region through a mix of fieldwork, outreach, and operational coordination.

This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling with the potential of becoming full-time. Shifts may be assigned between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Sunday.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks required for working with vulnerable populations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to upholding dignity, respect, and confidentiality in client interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lived experience with social issues similar to those faced by our clients (such as substance use, homelessness, or justice involvement).
  • Possess a state-approved PSS, CHW/P/R Certificate, or meet the requirements for the Certified Community Health Worker (CCHW) credential.


Responsibilities

  • Safely drive and operate a work truck to outreach events and community sites.
  • Participate in Substance Use Response Team (SURT) shifts, engaging with the public and distributing basic needs supplies.
  • Conduct Enhanced Case Management (ECM) services, including: managing a client caseload; conducting client assessments and home or community visits; developing and updating individualized care plans; coordinating referrals and linkages to medical, behavioral health, and social services; and completing timely documentation, notes, and follow-up.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work truck and workplace.
  • Attend partnership meetings and community events as a representative of CCODP.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support client and community health.
