A leading Food manufacturing company is seeking a Bilingual Production Manager to lead production planning and operational execution. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader with experience in manufacturing environments and team leadership. Working collaboratively, the new leader will improve productivity by streamlining workflows and managing production teams while maintaining quality standards, meeting output targets, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Location: Katy, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Hours: M-F 6:30-3:30; Saturdays if needed

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage daily production schedules, ensuring correct job sheets, lot numbers, and packaging requirements for all blends, raw materials, and finished products.
  • Coordinate workflow with Production Teams, Steam Operators, Quality Control, and management to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor equipment and processes and train operators on efficient techniques to maximize yield and maintain product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols, including proper handling of ingredients and equipment.
  • Oversee inventory, material preparation, and equipment maintenance to minimize production delays.
  • Identify process inefficiencies or abnormalities and propose improvements to VP Operations.
  • Cross-train production teams on all milling and blending equipment to maximize flexibility and productivity.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance management for shift supervisors and production staff.
  • Maintain production metrics, KPIs, and month-end projections; report progress to VP Operations.
  • Attend production and safety meetings and support company goals for quality, efficiency, and safety.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage production shift supervisors and staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Establish performance metrics, monitor efficiency, and implement improvements to optimize production output.
  • Address material processing issues, provide solutions, and ensure adherence to quality standards. 
  • Provide ongoing progress reports of production supervisors and production teams’ performance to the VP Operations to monitor their efficiency and discuss solutions as needed.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma required, associate degree in business or related field a plus
  • 3+ years in food manufacturing management or related production role
  • English and Spanish Bilingual a must.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, production processes, and quality control
  • Ability to train staff for 3–6 months, including out-of-state teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Forklift operation and minor equipment repair skills a plus
  • Strong leadership, team management, and coaching abilities
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate tasks, and work effectively under deadlines
  • Strong work ethics, high energy, positive attitude, and long-term career focus
