Edison Middle School is seeking candidates for a full-time Bilingual Security Monitor position. This position will work closely with students in building positive relationships, with a focus on supporting students during the lunch and dinner hours. The position also requires the performance of quasi law enforcement obligations and duties, with respect to visitors, intruders, employees and students, to assure safe and secure relationships between and within those groups. The ability to communicate with youth and de-escalate student situations, while maintaining positive relations, supervising and maintaining student data records is an important part of this role.
All part time Monitor positions offer dental and life insurance, as well as sick leave and holiday pay. Positions of 20 hours per week or greater are also eligible for medical insurance.
