Bilingual Spanish -Degreed Nutritionist (Wic)

The Degreed Nutritionist is responsible for providing nutrition and breastfeeding education to Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program participants individually and in groups to assure quality service. The Degreed Nutritionist also determines client eligibility and implements WIC Program services to eligible participants. Location is 2210 Mission Mesa Drive in Oceanside, Ca. 92054.

Hours M-F 7:30 am to 4:30pm, closed for lunch 11:45am to 12:45pm , Two late days a month are open from 8:30am to 5:30pm, one saturday on rotation every 2-3 months, 8am to 12 noon.

This position is located in Oceanside

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in Spanish
• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or related field.
• General knowledge of Spanish, and willing to learn to counsel in Spanish.
• Computer proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• May be required to travel to different locations therefore a valid California Driver's License, proof of valid insurance and a clean driving record is required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with low income, multicultural and multilingual populations.
• Knowledge of WIC program and maternal child health.

This position pays $27.83 to $38.96 on an hourly basis.
