HR JUNIOR RECRUITER (BILINGUAL – SPANISH)
• Location: Chicago, IL• Job Type: Full-Time• Pay: $23/hour (starting)• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:30 PM; Every Other Saturday 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
El Milagro is seeking a motivated and dependable HR Junior Recruiter to support hiring efforts across the organization. This role is ideal for someone looking to begin or grow a career in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The HR Recruiter will assist with sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates while learning best practices in recruitment and employment compliance. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong communication skills, and alignment with El Milagro's core values of Quality, Integrity, and Family.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist hiring managers and the Human Resources team with recruitment needs and job postings.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, community outreach, and local recruiting efforts.
- Review applications and conduct initial phone and in-person candidate screenings.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and update applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Provide candidates with information regarding open positions, company culture, benefits, and hiring processes.
- Support internal job postings and employee referral programs.
- Assist with recruitment-related projects, including internship and early-career hiring initiatives.
- Maintain recruitment software, job postings, and hiring documentation in an organized and timely manner.
- Collaborate with management to define position requirements and assist with drafting job descriptions.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Support additional HR functions, special projects, and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.
- Associate's degree, diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field (completed or currently in progress).
- 0-2 years of experience in recruiting, human resources, staffing, customer service, or other customer-facing roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now, Hireology, or similar Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, food production, distribution, or similar industries is a strong plus.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
