This employer seeks a bilingual Spanish/English candidate to deliver in home child and parent education services.JOB DUTIESDeliver parent and child education services in home visit settings to parents and their babies 0-3 years of age according to families' individual goal plans, families' needs, developmental stage of baby, and using a variety of curriculumWork with families, supervisor, and Healthy Families team to promote positive parent-child relationships, support healthy growth and development, enhance problem-solving skills and improve support systemsEffectively work with families and individuals of diverse backgrounds (including teen parents; families with mental health, substance use, or domestic violence concerns; families experiencing poverty)Maintain accurate, legible, timely documentation detailing contact and progress of familiesComplete on-going evaluation documentation and assessments for each family in accordance with Healthy Families standards and requirementsConnect families with community resources and support self-advocacy across systemsEncourage and facilitate family participation in program and community activitiesServe as a cohesive member of the team, participate in problem solving and promote innovationProvide support and development opportunities to new staff, interns, and volunteersEstablish and maintain professional boundariesMeet weekly with supervisor for supervisionREQUIREMENTSHSD/GEDValid driver's license with a good driving record6 months prior experience and humility to work with culturally diverse families including Latinx communities6 months experience providing early childhood education services to low-income children ages prenatal to 5 years and their familiesProvide strengths-based, client-centered services in a culturally responsive mannerEstablish trusting relationships and accept individual differencesWilling to engage in building reflective capacity (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing value of supervision)Dependable, flexible team member and support Impact NW's mission and goalsExcellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skillsFunction independently and use ethical judgment in making decisionsPossess excellent time management, organizational skills, and prioritize multiple and varied tasksBasic computer skillsPREFERENCESPrior work or lived experience with individuals and families experiencing poverty and homelessnessBachelor's Degree in early childhood education, social work or related fieldKnowledge of infant and child development, Infant Mental Health Endorsement® through Oregon Infant Mental Health Association6 months experience in providing parent and child development services for families with infants and toddlersHOURS:Full time, 40 hours per week.
