Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is hiring a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide non-medical in-home care for a client in Lowell, Indiana. The ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is required to support the client's daily care, safety, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, ambulation, and transfers according to the individualized Plan of Care
- Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment through light housekeeping, laundry, dishwashing, and organizing
- Assist with mobility devices such as walkers and wheelchairs
- Provide medication reminders (no medication administration)
- Observe and report changes in the client's condition, appearance, or behavior
- Maintain accurate records of services provided
- Use our mobile app to clock in/out, communicate with the office, and complete care documentation
- Follow infection control, safety, and agency policies and procedures
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients, families, and team members
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish to meet client care needs
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous 2 years caregiving, home care, CNA, HHA, or related experience preferred
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass a national background check
- Current TB test or ability to obtain one
- Dependable, compassionate, professional, and client-focused
Job Details
