Position:Bilingual (Spanish) Teaching Assistant for Spanish/English Dual Language Program

Location:Memorial Elementary School

Schedule:2026-2027 School Year - Hours 8:35 - 3:05

Salary: Per Contract $19.10 - $24.92/hour based on experience & certification

To Start:August 24, 2026

Qualifications: Bilingual; fluent in Spanish, required Proof of Spanish proficiency via Spanish MTEL, WPT/OPI, or other pathway as approved in DESE Guidance for the Provision of Interpreters in the Education Setting (p. 7 and 8), required within the first year of employment Completion of the 2-hour online Language Ambassador Training Course, certificate required upon hire High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's Degree preferred; Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement preferred; Experience working with students with and without disabilities; Demonstrate the ability to assist in the inclusion and/or Special Education classroom; Experience working with English Language Learners Bilingual preferred CPI training preferred

Responsibilities: This position works within our Spanish/English dual language program. All job responsibilities may be completed in Spanish and/or English. Work under the supervision of building administration, Special Education teachers, and classroom teachers; Assist small groups and/or individual students with progress toward academic, social-emotional, and/or behavioral goals within the classroom, with guidance provided by the teacher; Communicate and collaborate with teachers; Provide direct instruction in an inclusion classroom or small group setting; Ability to modify curriculum; Maintain confidential information; Collect data on student performance as needed; Assist students with daily living/self-help skills; Attend and participate in training opportunities as directed; and Perform supervisory duties, as assigned by school administration.
