POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Bilingual Travel Safety Manager to own safety and compliance company-wide for JAC Metal. This role splits time between our Poolville, TX office and projects across the continuous United States, partnering with crew leaders, project managers, clients, and office staff to set safety direction, ensure safe operations, accurate documentation, and smooth field execution across every job site. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment- job locations, start times, and schedules can shift quickly due to weather, customer needs, or project changes—so flexibility and a positive, solution-focused attitude are essential. This role is not ideal for someone who needs a predictable schedule—travel and job site assignments can change quickly and sometimes with little notice. Construction safety management experience is required, and we provide continued training (including sponsoring safety trainer courses as needed) so you can confidently lead bilingual (English/Spanish) safety training and drive compliance company-wide. Must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish and English.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Own and lead the company’s safety program company-wide, setting safety standards, priorities, and strategy across all job sites and the office.
·         Travel to active projects to conduct safety orientations, bilingual trainings (English/Spanish), and weekly toolbox talks.
·         Perform random on-site safety inspections and audits; document findings, coach crews on corrections, and follow up to verify closeout.
·         Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action documentation; manage workers’ compensation claims from first report through resolution, including carrier communication and return-to-work coordination.
·         Maintain safety training records, weekly safety meeting documentation, and compliance files in an organized, audit-ready format.
·         Develop, update, and maintain the company’s written safety program, policies, and procedures, ensuring they stay current with regulations and industry best practices.
·         Manage and maintain the Got Safety App and related logs, forms, and reports.
·         Direct OSHA-aligned safety practices company-wide, including hazard recognition, JSA participation, PPE use, fall protection, ladder safety, and job site housekeeping.
·         Own OSHA compliance company-wide, including maintaining OSHA 300/300A logs, leading responses to citations and regulatory audits, and ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations across all job sites.
·         Verify crews have required safety equipment and tools; inspect harnesses, lanyards, ladders, and other safety gear for wear/damage and coordinate replacements.
·         Manage project documentation and administrative support: organize project files in the company database and help ensure required job site paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
·         Assist shop/yard operations as needed: help keep the yard, shop, and storage areas organized; load/unload tools and materials; assist with inventory counts; label and store materials; dispose of scrap/debris; run errands for parts and supplies.
·         Remain flexible and ready to pivot—support last-minute mobilizations, changing job site assignments, and schedule adjustments while maintaining consistent safety standards.
·         Serve as the company’s primary point of contact for safety matters between field crews, project managers, and leadership, providing updates and making final safety decisions.
·         Serve as the company’s final safety authority across all crews, job sites, and projects, with authority to halt unsafe work and enforce corrective action.
·         Perform other duties as assigned to support safe and efficient operations.
QUALIFICATIONS

·         Valid U.S. work authorization
·         Bilingual in English and Spanish (must be able to read, write, and speak both)
