The law firm, Glass Law Group Inc., is hiring a Bilingual Paralegal/Legal Assistant for an Applicant-sided Workers’ Compensation law firm..  
 
The position is full-time, in-person.  We have offices in both Woodland Hills, CA and Oxnard, CA.
After a training period, we offer hybrid scheduling.
 
 
The Bilingual Paralegal/Legal Assistant responsibilities include the following: 
  • Assist with all aspects of Workers' Compensation case management, including working up discovery, legal correspondence, reviewing records, and communicating with all parties
  • Assisting with WCAB hearings and meet and confers
  • Organizing informal settlement conferences for the attorneys
  • Organize and maintain all case files, including medical records
  • Draft pleadings/documents for attorney review
  • Review legal documents to ensure adherence to all legal requirements
  • Order/ Subpoena/ Obtain records
  • Schedule medical appointments
  • Communicate with clients and outside counsel as requested
  • Ensure that the cases assigned are organized and on track
  • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues
  • This list is not exhaustive and includes other duties as assigned.
The Bilingual Paralegal/Legal Assistant requirements: 
 
  • Familiarity with California Workers’ Compensation procedures, including DWC forms, QME scheduling, and authorization workflows. Prior use of systems like EAMS is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and case management software if necessary
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once and follow up as necessary with little oversight
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of workers’ compensation case management process experience is preferred - preferably as a case manager/paralegal
  • 1–2 years of experience in case management, legal assistant work, or a related field within workers’ compensation is required.
  • Computer proficiency including typing proficiency.
  • Diligence and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
Physical requirements: 
  • Must be able to walk on uneven services.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 15lbs.
  • Must be capable of occasionally using a step stool.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Prolonged periods of telephone use and keyboarding.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and filing.
This job is in person in Woodland Hills, CA or Oxnard, CA M-F 8am to 5pm.
