Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary Bill Rapp Subaru is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Express Technician to join our service team in Syracuse, NY. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start or grow a career in automotive service. The Express Technician performs light maintenance and basic repair services while ensuring high-quality workmanship and excellent customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities - Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
- Perform routine maintenance including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, balancing, and cooling system flushes
- Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish as necessary
- Check and adjust tire pressure
- Perform safety inspections and recommend additional maintenance or services when needed
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain required parts
- Notify the service advisor if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
- Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders
- Road test vehicles when required
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stay current with technical bulletins
- Maintain a clean and organized shop area
- Handle and store dealership tools and equipment properly
- Follow all federal, state, and local regulations including safety and hazardous waste procedures
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues to management immediately
- Ensure customer vehicles remain clean and notify advisors if any issues arise
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements - Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record for the past three years
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Basic mechanical knowledge or automotive interest preferred
