The Billing and Customer Service Associate ensures all invoicing associated with the work of the department is carried out. This role supports Account Receivable efforts by contacting customers to expedite payments and keeps management informed weekly on current monthly generated revenues, collection efforts, and sales lead calls. This position creates purchase orders and tracks all purchases by Director of CES and tracks receiving paperwork.

 

What you'll do:

  1. Generates accurate invoicing in a timely manner.
  2. Makes collection calls to customers or vendors with past due payments.
  3. Generates reports for billing and collections and maintains collection notes as needed.
  4. Creates purchase orders and tracks status.
  5. Makes sales lead inquiry calls to potential customers and relays qualified lead to salesperson.
  6. Follows up on outgoing shipments to ensure customer receives as needed.
  7. Responds to customer general questions, and relays appropriate department as needed.
  8. Assists with inventory audits and maintenance of supply sample display area
  9. Ensures paperwork is forwarded to AR, i.e. checks, invoices, debit/credit memo as needed.
  10. Maintains an up-to-date revenue report. 
  11. Handles administration of all covered ewaste collection reporting and invoicing from recycler and assists with DTSC and Cal Recycle annual reporting.
  12. Assist with fulfillment area order processing and packing as needed
  13. Serves as Customer Services support.
  14. Ensures all reports pertaining to responsibility are completed on time.
  15. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

What you bring:

  • 2 years of billing experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must have intermediate knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel and E-mail.
  • Experience with accounting software.
