Billing Clerk

American Fence Company is one of the largest fence contractors and barrier security product providers in the country, with multiple divisions operating throughout seven states across the Midwest. And we're looking for a full-time Billing Clerk to join us at our corporate headquarters in La Vista, NE. The Billing Clerk is responsible for compiling data; computing fees; creating invoices and credit memos, and issuing them to customers by all necessary means; and updating customer files. If you have successfully worked in medical billing, your skillset could be valuable in this role.

Responsibilities

• Issue invoices to customers.
• Issue monthly customer statements.
• Update customer files with issued invoices.
• Process credit memos.
• Update the customer master file with contact information.
• Track exceptions between the shipping log and invoice register.
• Enter invoices into customer invoicing web sites.
• Submit invoices by electronic data interchange.
• Prepare industry specific pay applications and AIA forms to ensure we receive payment.
• Prepare progress billings on large contracts.
• Prepare weekly billing status reports in Excel and follow up on delinquent billings with branch management.
• Complete quarterly billing audits on temporary rental projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Five years of billing experience required.
• Adept in use of productivity applications, particularly, Excel.
• High-level organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.

• $24 - $28 per hour, depending on experience
