Billing Clerk
Pay: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
This position is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate billing records, supporting payroll-related documentation, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have prior billing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily billing transactions and related documentation.
- Generate and distribute invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review billing records and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist customers with billing inquiries and provide professional customer service.
- Support payroll-related processes by reviewing and balancing settlement documentation.
- Maintain organized records, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Prepare invoices, tickets, and freight bills for mailing and electronic distribution.
- Email invoices and billing documents to customers on a weekly basis.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and maintain accurate reporting.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet billing and reporting deadlines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of billing experience required.
- Experience within transportation, logistics, freight, or a similar industry is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities.
- Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
