Talis Group’s client is a well-established law firm located in downtown Louisville. They are looking to add a Billing Clerk to their accounting team. This role is primarily a high-volume, process-driven position focused on accurate data entry, billing support, accounts payables, and accounts receivables. Role will report to the Controller. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity that offers an hourly pay of $21/hour ($43,680 annually) with possible bonus potential. The firm also provides a generous benefit package, which includes health, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays. Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm OR 8:30am-5:30pm (flexible scheduling.)
Highlighted Duties
- Perform high-volume, accurate data entry with exceptional attention to detail.
- Process billing transactions and assist with general accounts payable & accounts receivable functions.
- Enter and maintain financial records, invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting-related data.
- Research and resolve billing and payment issues.
- Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy files.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency while following established procedures.
- Collaborate with accounting team members to support daily workflow and meet deadlines.
Highlighted Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Prior professional office experience is required.
- Previous billing experience preferred; legal billing experience is a plus, but the firm is willing to train.
- MUST type at least 50wpm and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, process driven environment.
- Strong written, verbal, and customer service communication skills.
