SUMMARY This position is accountable for the preparation of all monthly invoicing sent directly to customers which results in the cash flow that affects the entire company. Must be able to interface with company project managers and external customers to obtain information required for billing.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Analyze customer contract or purchase order for all pertinent information in order to generate invoice that meets customer\'s requirementsPrepare and maintain files on projects, as well as maintain files on completed projectsEnter customer\'s requirements on retainage procedures into databaseMatch extra work authorizations with project change ordersPrepare special billing formats for invoicingRecalculate and proof unbilled Receivable Report monthlyWork with accounts receivable to resolve payment differences with customerREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diplomaProficiency in Microsoft ExcelPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associates or Bachelor\'s degreeAt least two years of construction billing or similar construction invoicing/accounting experiencePREFERRED CHARACTERISTICS Attention to detailCooperative attitudeStrong data entry skillsStrong communication skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Stand or walk for long periods of timeUse arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objectsFrequently lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds, occasionally lifting items weighing up to 20 pounds.Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawlAcceptable visual acuity for near, far and color - naturally or with correctionHand-Eye coordinationENVIRONMENT The Billing Clerk works mostly in a comfortable office environment but exposure to site and weather conditions may occur. Some locations expose workers to harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors, loud noise or dangerous machinery. To avoid injury, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, must be worn in all areas as required.
