Adapt Integrated Health Care is looking for a qualified Billing Clerk to join their team! This position works Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The main role of Billing Clerks is to ensure health care providers are paid for medical services rendered. They are responsible for the accurate flow of medical information and patient data between physicians, patients, and third-party payers. Responsible for monitoring claims, payments, and any denials from payers.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years' billing experience in an EMR.
  • Some knowledge of medical insurance, with no billing experience may be considered

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to handle multi-functions.
  • Understanding of community-based organizations.
  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD10 codes.
  • Ability to work proficiently and efficiently in a timely manner.
  • Ensure completion of documentation in the EMR when needed on charges entered in patient's accounts for a correct and complete billing claim.
  • Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures, reporting compliance issues.
  • Maintains quality results by following standards.
  • Answers client/patient calls
  • Take patient payments and answer questions about account.
  • Follow up on insurance denials, including calling insurance, use of portals, and resubmitting claims.
  • Work aging claims timely.
  • Fix registration or insurance carrier information as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
