Billing & Collections Associate

POSITION SUMMARY As a Billing & Collections Associate, you will be required to contact clients and collect outstanding payments. Contact includes making multiple phone calls, emails, text messages, per day. As part of the Customer Management Team the associate are responsible for other aspects of collections, such as resolving customer billing problems updating customer contact information, and other issues as required.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts Investigate historical data for each debt or bill Find and contact clients to ask about their overdue payments Expected to make 100 outbound collection calls per day. Take actions to encourage timely debt payments Process payments and refunds Resolve billing and customer issues Update account status records and collection efforts Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status

KEY COMPETENCIES

Proven experience as a Accounts Receivables Specialist or similar role Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques Familiarity with AIA billing and lien waivers Working knowledge of MS Office and databases Patience and ability to manage stress Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Outstanding Attitude, Positive mindset, and willingness to smile in the face of adversity Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and drive to succeed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1 year experience with Billing, Collections or Accounts Receivable Customer service and account management experience Prior experience with NetSuite preferred
