Billing Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)

Compensation

  • $145,000–$157,000 base salary
  • Full-time | W2
  • Hybrid schedule: 2 onsite days / 3 remote days

Overview

A leading legal services organization is seeking an experienced Billing Manager to lead billing operations, oversee team performance, and manage attorney and partner relationships in a fast-paced law firm environment. This role is heavily focused on leadership, workflow oversight, accountability, and process management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of billing professionals
  • Oversee monthly billing cycles, prebills, invoice processing, and eBilling operations
  • Ensure billing accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of deadlines
  • Partner with attorneys and leadership to resolve billing issues and escalations
  • Improve billing workflows, team efficiency, and operational processes
  • Maintain accountability, structure, and strong onsite team presence
  • Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and staff development

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of legal billing experience
  • 8+ years of legal eBilling experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Prior law firm experience required
  • Strong experience with Elite 3E and eBilling systems
  • Experience managing teams of 5–8+ employees
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Background

  • Current Billing Supervisor or Manager within a large law firm
  • Strong operational and people management experience
  • Comfortable managing attorney and partner relationships
