IDR is seeking a Billing Operations Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Princeton, NJ. This role involves supporting retail billing operations within the energy sector, focusing on ensuring accurate, timely customer transactions, account maintenance, and monthly billing processing. The company specializes in energy supply and utility services, committed to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Position Overview for the Billing Operations Analyst:
- Support retail billing operations by processing customer transactions and maintaining accounts
- Monitor and resolve billing exceptions within established SLAs while escalating when necessary
- Use analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI to identify issues and ensure compliance
- Develop understanding of the customer lifecycle from contract initiation to final account processing
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and utilities to resolve operational issues and support projects
Requirements for the Billing Operations Analyst:
- 3+ years of experience within sales operations or back office related billing experience (Energy Supplier, Utilities, insurance, claims, loans, sales analyst, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills including vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail; experience with large datasets and discrepancy identification
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Nice to have: Energy supplier back-office experience, Power BI, and SQL
