Position OverviewBilling Specialist – Central and Southern OhioIntegrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community‑focused behavioral health organization dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to health and well‑being. The Billing Specialist is responsible for processing client billing and supporting revenue cycle operations to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for behavioral health and related services. This role focuses primarily on Medicaid billing, with additional responsibilities for Medicare and private payer claims, including a specialized focus on respite billing and follow‑up.Pay Range$23.85 to $28.02 per hour based on experience.Essential FunctionsProvide comprehensive billing services for ISBH.Perform billing‑related activities such as:Electronic claim (EDI) creation and submission for multiple payers.Self‑pay claim processing.Payment posting and reconciliation.Investigation and resolution of claim denials.CareLogic Billing/Accounts Receivable configuration and maintenance.Interaction with payer and clearinghouse portals.Monitor and communicate the status of billing tasks and accounts.Support internal staff and external partners in resolving billing errors and issues.Deliver professional, responsive customer service in all interactions.Maintain advanced knowledge of Ohio's behavioral health payment environment, CareLogic billing and AR functionality, Ohio MCO billing requirements, and ISBH and partner‑specific documentation and billing standards.Attend internal and external training as needed.Assist with special projects as assigned by the Billing Manager.Travel within designated service areas.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required.Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.Experience3 years of experience in Ohio behavioral health Medicaid billing required.3 years of experience using an electronic health record system for claims processing; CareLogic experience preferred.Experience with or knowledge of respite services billing preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent written and oral communication skills required.Excellent organizational skills required.Ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions required.Valid driver's license and capability to operate a motor vehicle required.Appropriate level of auto insurance coverage required.Ability to manage deadlines within a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment required.Ability to operate in an Internet‑based, automated office environment required.Ability to maintain a high‑speed internet connection required.Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer required.Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times required.BenefitsMedicalDentalVisionShort‑term DisabilityLong‑term Disability401(k) with Employer MatchEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) provides support and resources for you and your family.Equal Opportunity EmploymentWe're an equal opportunity employer.
