LHH is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our construction accounting team in Coppell, TX. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely customer billing while supporting project managers, outside sales representatives, and customers throughout the billing process. The ideal candidate has experience with construction billing, contract review, and invoicing and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate workflow and communication between outside sales representatives and customers to ensure construction draws are completed accurately and on schedule.
Review and audit customer contracts to ensure billing aligns with contract terms and project requirements.
Create, process, and post customer invoices in Sage accounting software.
Monitor billing schedules and ensure invoices are submitted according to project milestones and deadlines.
Serve as a resource on office policies, procedures, and billing processes.
Perform data entry while maintaining accurate customer, contract, and billing records.
Respond to customer questions regarding invoices, billing status, and supporting documentation.
Assist with preparing financial reports and supporting accounting, compliance, and inventory requirements.
Collaborate with accounting, sales, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial records and timely project billing.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures and participate in required safety meetings.
Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of billing, accounting, or administrative experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Pay Details: $28.00 to $31.25 per hour
