Billing Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Corona, CA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Reports To: Accounting Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our growing team in Corona, CA. This position is ideal for someone with logistics industry experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Our company processes approximately $4 million in monthly billing and generates 120 invoices daily, making accuracy and efficiency essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Distribute revenue from rated Bills of Lading (BOLs) accurately and timely to ensure proper allocation to drivers, salespersons, and agents.
• Post revenue and invoice-related shipment activity, including agent storage invoices.
• Generate and mail customer invoices promptly to maximize company receivables.
• Coordinate with the reconciliation team to process revenue adjustments and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
• Perform special projects and assignments as directed by the Accounting Manager.
• Maintain accuracy while managing a high volume of invoicing activities.

Qualifications

Required

• Strong communication skills and excellent attendance record.
• Positive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, including:
  • Excel (sorting data, inserting/deleting rows and columns)
  • Word
  • Outlook
• Familiarity with transportation and logistics terminology, including:
  • Freight
  • LTL (Less-than-Truckload)
  • Shuttle
  • 3PL (Third-Party Logistics)
  • Bill of Lading (BOL)
  • Load Confirmation
  • Rate Confirmation
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred

• Previous logistics, transportation, moving, or freight industry experience.
• Experience with Movers Suite software.
