East Bay Community Action Program is searching for a detail-driven, motivated Billing Specialist to support our Finance/Billing team. In this role, you'll help ensure our medical, behavioral health, and dental services are billed accurately-so thousands of community members can continue receiving the care they depend on.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit, track, and manage electronic claims using our billing software
• Obtain referrals, pre-authorizations, and verify insurance coverage
• Monitor unpaid claims and ensure payments are accurate
• Investigate and appeal denied claims to ensure proper reimbursement
• Maintain compliance with all billing regulations and internal procedures
• Keep detailed, organized records that support smooth operations

What Your Day Looks Like

This role is primarily desk-based with regular computer work. You'll also move around the office as needed and occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds. Organization and attention to detail are key-your contributions keep everything running smoothly.
