Job Summary and Qualifications JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES: 1. Report daily account and center activities to center director. 2. Analyze and report trends, both negative and positive with account s to director. 3. Monitor progress of each department making sure aged receivables are being worked systematically for completion on a daily basis. 4. Monitor data input for accuracy, demographics, charges, adjustments, and credits. 5. Contact insurance carriers by phone for claim status and resolve deficiencies for release of payment when the efforts from all other billing personnel have been exhausted. 6. Respond in a timely manner to all insurance /patient correspondence. 7. Manage the processes related to collection letters on past due accounts. 8. Review aging of A/R on a monthly basis and recommend, to director, accounts to be written off to bad debt per policy and procedure. 9. Monitor productivity of billing employees. 10. Establish productivity goals or targets along with director. 11. Monitor and audit activities to ensure compliance with state and federal government regulations and billing and collection policies and procedures. 12. Complete in a timely and organized manner all filing of documentation required by any of the above duties. 13. Responsible for end of month closing activities for all centers billed and generated of all account receivable and operational reports including special randomly requested reports. 14. Aggressively collects accounts receivables. 15. Establish and/or achieve cash targets. 16. Process daily billing computer system back up. 17. Performs other related functions as assigned. What qualifications you will need: EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: High School Graduate or GED. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: 2 years related experience. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Demonstrated communications and customer service skills, success in organizing work, computer skills, and ability to multi-task. General knowledge of automated medical billing procedures, ICD-9 coding and CPT codes. Ability to understand accounts receivable and related financial reports and information in order to ensure prompt and correct reporting or revenue and statistical data.
