Summary
Under general supervision, supports the billing operations for the agency.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting billing operations through insurance verification, eligibility checks, and accounts payable follow-up.
- Assists with claim resolution, patient billing and financial counseling.
- Provides support to site staff on payer requirements and contributes to accurate and timely reimbursement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or revenue cycle operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or related field
- One to three years' experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or revenue cycle operations
- Experience using Inovalon, Avality Essentials, GAMMIS, or similar eligibility and billing systems
Experience in behavioral health or a public healthcare setting is preferred.
High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of job-related billing or bookkeeping experience.
