We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Billing Specialist to join our CPA firm. This role is responsible for preparing invoices, managing client billing records, monitoring accounts receivable, and supporting the administrative operations of the firm. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a professional office environment and strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and distribute client invoices accurately and timely
- Maintain billing records and client account information
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Process payments and apply credits appropriately
- Work closely with partners and staff regarding billing matters
- Respond professionally to client billing inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and client information
- Assist with additional administrative and office support duties as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a professional office setting required
- Previous billing, bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative experience preferred
- Experience in a CPA firm, legal office, or other professional services environment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills
