Billing Specialist

JOIN OUR TEAM - BILLING SPECIALIST

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team in Portales. This full-time position is responsible for the accurate billing and collection of accounts receivable, including Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, self-pay, and other payer sources as applicable.

Position Summary

The CFO is a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for the overall financial management of the organization, including budgeting, financial reporting, revenue cycle oversight, grants compliance, and regulatory adherence. This role partners closely with leadership to advance La Casa's mission and financial resilience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Entering, verifying, and submitting insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensuring claims comply with payer and regulatory requirements
• Following up with insurance carriers on unpaid or denied claims
• Responding to patient inquiries regarding account balances and charges
• Posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts

This position plays a critical role in supporting efficient revenue cycle operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
