POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join a growing construction-focused team in Pittsburgh. This role is ideal for someone with prior construction billing experience who is comfortable managing AIA billing and pay applications in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The Billing Specialist will work closely with project managers and accounting teams to ensure accurate, timely billing and compliance with contract requirements.

BILLING SPECIALIST KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Billing Specialist will prepare, submit, and track AIA billings, pay applications, and lien waivers

• Coordinate with project managers and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing

  
  
• 
  

• Review contracts, purchase orders, and change orders to ensure billing compliance

  
  
• 
  

• The Billing Specialist will resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client billing inquiries

  
  
• 
  

• Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation

  
  
• 
  

• Support month-end close activities related to billing and accounts receivable

  
  
• 
  

• The Billing Specialist will assist with collections and follow up on outstanding invoices as needed

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE BILLING SPECIALIST ROLE

• 
  

• 2+ years of billing experience, preferably within the construction industry

  
  
• 
  

• Hands-on experience with AIA billing and pay applications strongly preferred

  
  
• 
  

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines

  
  
• 
  

• Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
