Billing Specialist (NetSuite) - High Volume Environment
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Specialist with strong NetSuite ERP experience to manage high-volume invoicing operations. This role is responsible for processing 500-750 invoices per month, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with customer agreements. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage high-volume billing (500-750 invoices monthly) with accuracy and timeliness
- Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices through NetSuite ERP
- Validate billing data, including pricing, contract terms, quantities, and tax compliance
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Accounting teams
- Prepare and process credit memos, debit memos, and billing adjustments as needed
- Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close activities
- Maintain detailed billing records and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes
- Monitor invoicing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Utilize advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis) to manage data and reporting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in billing or accounts receivable, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP (required)
- Proven ability to manage 500+ invoices per month with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with contract billing or freight/logistics billing
- Exposure to month-end close and reconciliations
- Understanding of revenue recognition principles
