We are seeking a detail-oriented Outbound Billing Specialist to contact customers regarding billing inquiries, outstanding balances, payment arrangements, and account resolutions. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining billing accuracy.
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 9AM to 5:30PM
Key Responsibilities
Make outbound calls to customers regarding invoices, billing questions, and overdue accounts.
Explain billing statements, payment options, and account balances.
Resolve customer billing disputes and escalate complex issues when necessary.
Process payments and set up payment arrangements.
Maintain accurate customer account records and document all interactions.
Follow up on unpaid invoices and ensure timely collections.
Work closely with the billing, finance, and customer service teams.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable billing regulations.
Meet daily call volume and productivity goals.
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
1–3 years of billing, collections, accounts receivable, or customer service experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
Experience with billing software, CRM systems, or ERP platforms.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in healthcare, utilities, telecommunications, finance, or BPO billing.
Knowledge of payment processing and collections practices.
Ability to de-escalate customer concerns professionally.
Bilingual (preferred ).
