BIM/CAD Technician

Freese and Nichols is looking for a BIM/CAD Technician in Fort Worth, Texas, Raleigh, North Carolina, or Houston, Texas.

As BIM/CAD Technician, you will lead the development of complex BIM/CAD models and drawings while providing technical guidance to junior technicians and ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet project requirements.

Lead development of complex BIM/CAD models and complete drawing sets including plans, elevations, and detail drawings.

Translate rough sketches and verbal direction into detailed construction documents using Revit.

Proactively support internal project teams through effective communication and high-quality technical work.

Support and coordinate with project teams to resolve technical issues.

Apply a continuous improvement mindset to optimize workflows and enhance modeling standards.

Train and mentor junior technicians in software applications and BIM/CAD best practices.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent 6+ years of experience performing CAD functions in a 3D environment Proficiency in Revit Aptitude for mathematics and ability to interpret drawings and maps Preferred: Associate degree in BIM/CAD Experience supporting multidisciplinary infrastructure projects Experience in Structural or Architectural BIM/CAD Basic ACAD knowledge
