BIM Designer

Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Designer to join their growing team in Denver, Colorado. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional with strong Revit and electrical design experience who enjoys collaborating in a fast-paced engineering and construction environment.

As a BIM Designer, you will play a key role in the development and coordination of BIM models and construction documentation for complex projects, including data center and electrical infrastructure environments. Working closely with engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams, you will help transform design intent into fully coordinated, constructable deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and coordinate Revit BIM models across multiple disciplines including Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Telecommunications, Instrumentation, and Lighting
• Create and maintain detailed 2D construction drawings and 3D models using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
• Support electrical discipline leads and project teams with BIM coordination and clash detection efforts
• Ensure all models and drawings comply with client BIM and design standards
• Coordinate with designers, engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to maintain project accuracy and consistency
• Assist in developing clash-free and constructable project deliverables
• Interpret markups, sketches, and verbal direction to complete design and modeling tasks
• Estimate hours and effort required for assigned modeling and drafting activities
• Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to project workflow improvements

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of BIM design experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical systems design and/or the construction industry
• Working knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Understanding of how codes and standards impact design decisions
• Familiarity with design and construction specifications
• Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections and electrical systems coordination
• Experience following client BIM and modeling standards
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in data center environments
• Knowledge of power distribution, cable routing, and lighting systems
• Familiarity with electrical one-line diagrams
• Experience with multidisciplinary BIM coordination
• Navisworks experience preferred
