We’re partnering with a growing, well-established electrical contractor and energy solutions provider supporting complex commercial construction projects across the Denver market. This team is known for delivering high-quality installation, strong preconstruction planning, and advanced virtual design capabilities on technically challenging projects.

They’re looking to bring on a BIM/VDC Manager to lead and scale their digital construction and coordination efforts.

Job Details

As a BIM Manager, you will be joining an innovative and dynamic team in the construction industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of BIM Engineers and drive the strategic implementation of BIM (Building Information Modelling) across various construction projects. The role demands a visionary leader with a profound understanding of BIM, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), VDC (Virtual Design and Construction), and Navisworks. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a hands-on approach, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for shaping the future of construction.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the BIM team, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest BIM technologies and methodologies.
2. Develop and implement BIM strategic plans and workflows across various construction projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project requirements.
3. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to integrate BIM into the design and construction process, optimizing project outcomes.
4. Review and understand blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate modeling and coordination.
5. Utilize Navisworks for clash detection and resolution, improving project efficiency and reducing rework.
6. Leverage your field experience to provide practical and effective BIM solutions, driving productivity and innovation in the construction process.
7. Monitor the quality of BIM deliverables, ensuring high standards are maintained across all projects.
8. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in BIM technology and industry trends, implementing necessary changes to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a BIM leadership role in the Electrical construction industry.
2. Profound knowledge of BIM, MEP, VDC, and Navisworks.
3. Proven experience in mentoring and training BIM Engineers, with a focus on continuous learning and development.
4. Ability to read and understand blueprints, plans, and specifications.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement effective solutions.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading successful teams.
7. Preferably, a background in the field, providing a practical understanding of the construction process.
8. A strong passion for technology and innovation, with a continuous drive to stay ahead of industry trends.
9. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
