BIM Modeler

Location: Austin, Texas (Onsite)

Role Overview

A skilled BIM Modeler is sought to support the development and deployment of advanced liquid cooling infrastructure for a global data center portfolio. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed LOD400 fabrication-level BIM models, developing Revit content, and supporting project coordination through Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). The ideal candidate will possess experience building mechanical Revit models, with an understanding of piping systems, fabrication workflows, and BIM standards. This individual will collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create LOD400 Fabrication BOD Template BIM models of liquid cooling piping systems from LOD300 design models provided by Design Engineering.
• Create site-specific LOD400 fabrication models of liquid cooling piping systems using Fabrication BOD template models.
• Create Revit Families and MEP Fabrication Parts of piping elements and mechanical equipment from 3D step files provided by manufacturers and vendors.
• Produce fabrication-ready documentation, including spool maps, floor plans, and Bills of Material (BOMs), using LOD400 BIM models.
• Set up, organize, and maintain project environments within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Support model management, version control, file organization, and coordination workflows across project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and fabrication teams to resolve model-related issues and implement design updates.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in developing and maintaining Mechanical Revit models.
• Experience creating detailed BIM models within Autodesk Revit.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, design documentation, and piping layouts.
• Experience generating construction and fabrication deliverables from BIM models.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and modeling mechanical piping systems in Revit.
• Experience developing both traditional Revit Families and MEP Fabrication Parts.
• Familiarity with fabrication workflows and constructability reviews.
• A fundamental working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Experience with liquid cooling systems, mechanical infrastructure, data center environments, or industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) project administration and coordination workflows.
• 3+ years of BIM modeling experience supporting mechanical, MEP, industrial, or mission-critical facility projects.
• Experience developing LOD400 fabrication models within design-build, manufacturing, or construction environments.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, data center, or industrial construction projects.
