Description

Seeking a BIM Modeler to support its Electrical Engineering and BIM team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining project BIM models and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and BIM standards.

The BIM Modeler will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, from initial model setup through coordination, quality control, and final deliverables. This position works closely with project teams and reports directly to the BIM Manager, providing technical support and feedback regarding BIM workflows, standards, and training needs.

Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and update BIM models for electrical construction projects.

Ensure BIM models comply with project requirements and company standards.

Perform model setup, quality control reviews, and error resolution.

Manage BIM outputs, documentation, and project support files.

Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection exercises.

Support project teams with BIM-related technical issues and troubleshooting.

Collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers, and field personnel.

Assist in developing and improving BIM workflows, standards, and content libraries.

Provide guidance and training on BIM tools and processes when needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit.

Practical experience with BIM modeling and coordination.

Knowledge of Autodesk Revit and related CAD software.

Experience utilizing Navisworks for model federation and coordination workflows.

Understanding of ANSI drafting standards.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to explain technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of BIM experience.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Team-oriented mindset with a passion for quality work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of and proven practical experience in Autodesk Revit and related CAD software.

Experience in model federation workflows using Navisworks.

Solid understanding of core ANSI drafting standards.

Familiarity with design practices relating to the electrical field.

Candidates must possess at least 1 year of relevant experience with Autodesk Revit.

Electrical experience is preferred but not required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Gastonia, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
