Position Overview
A growing construction and infrastructure organization is seeking a highly collaborative BIM/VDC Lead to support large-scale, technically complex projects. This role is responsible for leading digital coordination efforts and transforming design intent into coordinated, field-ready construction solutions that support successful project execution.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in BIM/VDC coordination, constructability review, clash detection, and multi-trade collaboration within commercial, industrial, or mission-critical environments. This individual will work closely with project management, field leadership, engineers, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure coordinated models align with real-world installation sequencing and construction requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead BIM/VDC coordination activities across multiple trades and building systems to ensure constructable, execution-ready models.
- Identify and resolve clashes, interface conflicts, and constructability issues before impacting field production or project schedules.
- Coordinate electrical power systems, structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, and integrated security systems across complex project environments.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to align digital models with field installation methods and sequencing strategies.
- Facilitate coordination meetings and design-assist sessions focused on system integration, installation feasibility, and execution readiness.
- Support development and release of coordinated drawings, installation packages, layout deliverables, and sequencing plans for field operations.
- Maintain model accuracy through RFIs, submittals, revisions, field redlines, as-builts, and scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure digital workflows support construction schedules, turnover milestones, operational readiness, and project delivery objectives.
- Drive accountability and issue resolution during coordination meetings and ongoing project reviews.
- Support seamless handoffs between preconstruction, engineering, and field operations teams.
